The Department of Informatics of the University of Zurich has a vacancy for a tenured
Professor of Database Technology (Successor to Klaus R. Dittrich)
We seek applications from outstanding candidates with an excellent background and education in computer science and a focus on concepts, methods and tools for investigation, design and application of databases.
Involvement in teaching at all levels is expected.
Prerequisites include a doctoral degree, excellent scientific qualifications as demonstrated by habilitation or equivalent performance, as well as research and teaching experience in the subject. We explicitly encourage women with the appropriate qualifications to apply.
The position can either be filled at the full professor or at the associate professor level. Excellent candidates in the early stages of their academic careers, who do not yet fully qualify for a full professor position, but are strongly qualified at the associate professor level, are therefore encouraged to apply.
