KTH School of Computer Science and Communication, CSC, announces at least one appointment as associate professor in Computer Science.
The CSC school hosts internationally competitive research groups in a wide range of computer science related topics, including numerical analysis, theoretical computer science, software engineering, computer vision and robotics, computational biology, human computer interaction, media technology, and music acoustics and languages. Additionally, the school hosts research centers in autonomous systems, sustainable communications, and parallel computing.
The CSC school hosts the undergraduate program in computer science as well as number of other programs at B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels. The KTH computer science program is one of the most popular and prestigious in Sweden, with a long-standing tradition for excellence in teaching.
We now seek at least one new faculty member at the associate professor level. The position(s) are not tied to any particular c.s. field of specialization. The successful applicant will be required to teach both first cycle courses in general computer science and second cycle courses in either database technology, data security or language technology. It is KTH policy to teach first cycle courses in Swedish, but the requirement of knowledge of Swedish can be waived for a limited, transitional period subject to negotiation.
