Funded PostDoc and PhD positions available in Secure and dependable adaptive computing at the Vienna University of Technology, Institute of Information Systems, Distributed Systems Group, Austria.
Starting on 1. February 2008 or as soon as possible after this date, we are seeking PostDocs or PhD candidates to work on
- Adaptive secure clock synchronization
- Trusted operations on untrusted clients (Client trust concepts)
- Software partitioning between client and smart card
- Adaptive middleware
in the context of a national research project.
The ideal candidate holds a degree (master or PhD according to aspired position) in Computer Science or related fields, is able to consider both conceptual and practical/implementation aspects in her/his work. Preferably, s/he has a background in one of the following fields:
- Software engineering
- Distributed systems
- Security and dependability
The full-time position (40 hours per week) is for a time period of 2 years, the salary is competitive, lecturing is optional. The successful candidate will further benefit from the project's cooperation with a dynamic and growing industrial partner in the finance application domain.
