The School's Ph.D. program covers all areas of information and communication technologies and related disciplines and applications, including computer science and engineering, electronics, telecommunications and control.
Access to all Ph.D. positions and grants will be by competitive examination.
Evaluation criteria:
Qualifications and publications: up to 20 points
Exams: up to 40 points
Admissible qualifications and their evaluation criteria:
- M.Sc. thesis (must be accompanied by an English abstract unless the thesis is in Italian): up to 5 points
- Proficiency (exams and graduation grades): up to 5 points
- publications: up to 5 points
- Professional experience and other qualifications (i.e.: i) reference letters by University professors, to be sent to the Head of the Ph.D. program by the referees themselves ii) a project written by the applicant (which will not create a commitment for the choice of the Ph. D. thesis topic): up to 5 points

The competitive exam will consist in a written essay and an oral colloquium. It will be carried out in Italian or in English, according to the preference of the applicant. In the former case, the applicant's fluency in English will be evaluated during the oral exam.
