The Computer Science Department at the University of Auckland (New Zealand) invites applications for a PhD scholarship in the area of ‘Web Resource Estimation and Process Improvement’. The University of Auckland is the largest leading research University in New Zealand and was the only NZ University ranked in the top 50 Universities in the Times Higher Education Supplement-QS World Rankings of Universities.

This scholarship is fully-funded (including tuition fees of NZD 4,000 and a tax-free maintenance stipend of NZD 21,000 p.a.), and available from March 2008 for three years.

An Honours or Masters degree in Computer Science or another relevant Discipline is required for admission into our PhD programme. See http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/phd/index.php?s=1 for details.

It is desirable that applicants demonstrate, via their CV, knowledge of statistics (including probability) and empirical Web/software engineering. Familiarity with a programming language, preferably C++ or Java, is necessary.

This scholarship is available to international students as well as New Zealand citizens and Permanent Residents.
