The Laboratory of Traffic Facilities (LAVOC) the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for a Ph.D. position to conduct research in Intelligent Transport System (ITS). The project will focus on network vulnerability and traffic management strategies under adverse weather conditions.
Position Requirements:
- Strong academic background;
- Master in sciences or equivalent diploma in Civil engineering, Operational Research or Computer Science;
- Strong interest for research;
- Sense of collaboration, creativity, good analytical and synthesis capacities.
Remuneration: Competitive stipend and benefits are offered.
Working language: French or English
Start date: immediately
In addition to the Ph.D. dissertation, the candidate is expected to assist in teaching and other projects in the laboratory.
