Murdoch University: Doctoral scholarship for research on learning in higher education

A doctoral scholarship is available to work on an innovative inter-disciplinary program of research on learning in higher education funded by the Australian Research Council (Discovery Project). The project will be focusing on effective collaborative, case-based learning methods to enhance veterinary science students’ development of integrated knowledge and to prepare them for lifelong professional learning. The project has the potential to be further applied across other scientific fields of study.
The scholarship is close to 27k USD per annum (tax free) for 3 years. There maybe an opportunity to supplement this stipend by undertaking some tutoring or demonstrating. Taking the scholarship over four years on an 80% basis may be a possibility.
Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian Permanent Resident to apply.Eligibility to enter a PhD program is essential. An undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline related to veterinary study combined with some educational studies in the field of learning would be an advantage.
