IMDEA Networks is a research Institute that is focused on the Future Wireless Internet, and in particular on the protocols, algorithms and systems that will enable it. This exciting initiative, located in the Madrid region of Spain, is attracting researchers from around the World. We provide an English-speaking working environment, in which we support our researchers to focus on their core activities and to develop their careers.
We are offering a unique opportunity to apply now to join us as a Research Assistant, and to receive full funding throughout your PhD at the University Carlos III of Madrid. The PhD program starts in October 2009. Research Assistants will be supervised by an expert tutor from either the NETCOMgroup within the Department of Telematics Engineering, or from IMDEA Networks, such as the world-renowned and award-winning scientists, Dr. Nick Maxemchuk, Dr. Marco Ajmone Marsan and Dr. Arturo Azcorra.
Applications are invited from graduates who meet the following requirements:
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in Telematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Excellent academic transcripts
- Clearly defined Statement of Purpose for Masters/PhD research thesis
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Highly motivated
The University Carlos III of Madrid's admissions office could require you to complete all or part of their Masters course as a condition of your admittance to the PhD course (subject to your academic qualifications).
